Super Metroid. Still love playing that game.

There were some really good games on the snes. I would rate "A Link to the past" as my favorite. But it was the nes that got me into games.

The Snes was my first good console. I had an Atari 2600 before it, but it was shitty AF. So, i have some passion for those games, like Secret of Mana, StarFox, Street Fighter II... For some it was the Megadrive the best. I think the console's wars is over with those, so... Any good games to talk about on those?

To this day I consider the 16 bit generation one of the best, for RPGs Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Secret of Mana, and Zelda: Link to the Past. For other games like Super Bomberman, Uniracers, Contra III: Alien Wars, Knights of the Round, etc.

16-bit games? Hmm, I love the Sonic games on Sega Genesis / Mega Drive and I still play them from time to time. Dune 2 was awesome too and my first RTS ever played. And it was expensive (~80US$ in Europe). So I scratched all the money together that I had these days to buy it. But it was totally worth it! I remembered when my best friend got Dune 2 for his PC and I was disappointed from the graphics there, because Dune 2 looks so much better on my console :D
Mega Swiv was cool too.

I loved the 8 bit games in the early day's. I tried to play them a few years back, when I had a few emulators, but damn do they look fucking ugly. I couldn't even imagine the amount of fun I had in the past playing those games, with bad music and terrible graphics.

They had good melodies. It's surprising what they were able to do with the space limitations on a cartridge in terms of graphics as well.

My first console was the mega drive and I still like playing some of the old games on there.

Absolutely, I'm still a fan of 16 bit games. I still play retro games. Modern gaming sucks dick. Devs can learn from gaming's past too. I go back and play retro games from various generations. Sometimes playing the old games gives me inspiration and ideas for games.

I recommend emulation to others. Helps preserve gaming history and lets gamers experience the golden age of gaming.
Left to Right: "Keio Flying Squadron" , "Chip Chan Kick!", "Asura Blade", "Metal Slug 2 (dev mode)", "Madou Monogatari I", "Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer "

Snes is what got me into gaming, to this day Chrono trigger is still one of my favorites

Of course. Who doesnt like an old style well made game? I introduce castlevania to a couple of my friends and their family, and they were surprise by the difficult in those games, which started a new hobby on them, to play old school games

The Atari 2600 wasn't shitty when the choices were it, Intellivision and off brand stuff. And the only handheld were like one game, and with lights rather than LED or such..

Along with pretty much all the games you all are mentioning, I was a big fan of super castlevania iv
