New star wars was.. okay. I went into it with an open mind, its a fine summer popcorn flick. Turn off brain and watch the lightshow kinda movie. As soon as you start thinking too hard about the plot points, it starts to fall apart. But I didn't really expect anything other than laser pistols and spaceships either. Oh, and its basically a "day in the life" kinda movie, doesn't really progress the overall narrative, it's just a side story with these characters.

sounds about right for modern star wars, disney is too afraid for the brand to do anything unique with it, so it's just milk it till it's withered away. Still mostly fun but nothing special.

yeah i can see what you mean it changed like 2 or 3 time over the weekend and now i think it has just been completely disabled. i assume the rapid changed and the move from activity or lewd coins being used triggred some mod backlash that is going on being the scenes.

Merch, theme parks, etc. make too much money for it to ever be worth it to take any risk, even mandalorian in general was more than expected.
