I'm on a few forums that have a post limit for new members before accessing other parts of the site. This gamified version is a bit more fun. I can understand why it's necessary, having modded another forum where there was no such limit.

Except then nobody would get it.

Good morning and happy Caturday.
That's fine, we want people to get it by activity coin, not by paying their way in.

Have you ever hesitated to get into a highly recommended piece of media because it seemed overrated at first and you thought it would just waste your time, only to end up loving it far more than you expected? And then it makes you wonder how many other things you dismissed too quickly that you’d actually enjoy if you gave them a chance, so now you start seeking out media that doesn’t immediately click with you just to avoid missing out again?

Also, what’s with the site asking for Widevine when there’s barely any content here that even needs protection?

There is enough movies being made to fill thousands of lives so any you chose you will always miss some (most?) you would have liked. So don't stress and watch what you like.

We’re on the same wavelength. I also wonder how many pieces of media I’d end up liking but never discover because I don’t actively go looking for them or give them a try. It makes me think, if I could only experience media I genuinely like for the rest of my life, would that feel like a long experience or a short one? Would the things I like turn out to be many, or only a few?

I don't like living in a tight bubble, it makes people unable to communicate with other people outside of the bubble.

But doesn’t only consuming things you like already include things outside your usual “bubble”? For example, a pop music fan might still end up liking a song or two from country music.

So when you say you don’t want to live in a tight bubble, do you mean you want to deliberately try things you might dislike, just for the sake of being outside it, even if you end up not enjoying them? Because when I say I’d only want to consume things I like, that already includes anything outside my usual bubble, as long as I end up enjoying it.

I think your method should be enough, no need to punish yourself.

the coin system is probably about at where i can reasonably be, it already acts kind of as false paywall, it won't stop anyone really dedicated or whos job it is for this kind of thing. it allows the rest of us to achieve deeper access, and going strickter in either paywall or direct mod approval, would just open up to much issues with mod power and limiting the available community growth, as in strick paywalls tend to lead to very small insular communities.

@PaganGods08 Oh, you worship pagan gods? Name ten. 😆 /Joke

Do we have a list of reactions and meanings? @BrodyPresto is reacting all over the place and now I'm curious. Not that I'm complaining, I'll reach 50% of p1 today thanks to them 😘

Ha ha, ninja edit to avoid being smitted.

I prefer to draw my stuff rather than use ai, but thanks anyways.
Sure, there are a few non-Ai threads. I don't know if you noticed them already.
