Basically because there are a bunch of cunts out there, like Collective Shart, that go around looking to get that sort of thing shut down. Not just that, but even things NOT on +. Even things allowed on Fuck95 like incest.

That's been targeted for a long time. Patreon doesn't allow creators to host content that includes it, which is why so many games do the 'landlady' thing and then have a patch to correct it.

I don't know whats in the grey zone and i don't see what i would need outside of members plus (with what i am doing.)
From what I hear, it has suggestive pictures of realistic loli ai pics, but no realistic loli porn

Goodnight everyone!!!

Not as many as before—it was discussed—and recently the price of the Member+ rank dropped by half. And by the way, the reason the coin system exists isn’t because we think it’s funny or anything like that; it’s because it acts as a filter, limiting who can and cannot view certain types of content. Content that, when freely available, often ends up causing problems for sites and even leading to their closure.
Well, anyone who wants to shut down the site will still want to earn enough points to find out what’s hidden in the restricted files. Only those who are too lazy to save coins will leave.

This reminds me that a while back I suggested we get rid of the option to purchase P5 rank, put certain content behind that wall, and require anyone who wants to acquire the rank to meet certain criteria, such as:
- Seniority in the forum (At least 6 months to 1 year)
- Activity (Active participation and contributions to the forum)
- Reputation (Other users or even staff members know you and can attest to your good behavior)

You must explicitly request access from the staff, explain why you want access, and if you meet the above requirements, then access is granted manually.
That, or by paying a hefty sum—perhaps… 5–10 platinum.

Because, once again, if you're going to post sensitive content, it's a good idea to have some control over who can access it—not just letting people pay with virtual currency for access to something like that—and also to make it clear that LC is not responsible for what users say, do, post, or anything of the sort.

But that was just an idea I threw out there; it's not like there are any plans for something like that anyway.

Make it 1000 platinum and if an anti pays that to get evidence and get the site shutdown by backlash, at least you got rich in the process and have enough funding to start a new site.

Except then nobody would get it.

Good morning and happy Caturday.

i think the coin system is a great idea, still a bit anoying to get though

I'm on a few forums that have a post limit for new members before accessing other parts of the site. This gamified version is a bit more fun. I can understand why it's necessary, having modded another forum where there was no such limit.

Have you ever hesitated to get into a highly recommended piece of media because it seemed overrated at first and you thought it would just waste your time, only to end up loving it far more than you expected? And then it makes you wonder how many other things you dismissed too quickly that you’d actually enjoy if you gave them a chance, so now you start seeking out media that doesn’t immediately click with you just to avoid missing out again?

Also, what’s with the site asking for Widevine when there’s barely any content here that even needs protection?

There is enough movies being made to fill thousands of lives so any you chose you will always miss some (most?) you would have liked. So don't stress and watch what you like.

We’re on the same wavelength. I also wonder how many pieces of media I’d end up liking but never discover because I don’t actively go looking for them or give them a try. It makes me think, if I could only experience media I genuinely like for the rest of my life, would that feel like a long experience or a short one? Would the things I like turn out to be many, or only a few?

I don't like living in a tight bubble, it makes people unable to communicate with other people outside of the bubble.

But doesn’t only consuming things you like already include things outside your usual “bubble”? For example, a pop music fan might still end up liking a song or two from country music.

So when you say you don’t want to live in a tight bubble, do you mean you want to deliberately try things you might dislike, just for the sake of being outside it, even if you end up not enjoying them? Because when I say I’d only want to consume things I like, that already includes anything outside my usual bubble, as long as I end up enjoying it.
