I’m finally starting to get over my choice paralysis and getting back to the games I left unfinished.

But it got me wondering, do you guys ever replay games you’ve already finished, just to see if they still hold up? Or do you prefer to leave them as they are and just keep the memories in your heart without revisiting them?
Only if they have high replayability and are actually fun to play (New Vegas, DMC series, R&C etc), games like RD2 really fall apart when you try a second time and you see how limited you are, it's a very overrated game (yes, overrated, I said it) even Minesweeper has more replayability than that "Movie game" wannabe

There are so many games and so little time. Sometimes I can’t decide whether I should go back and replay old favorites or spend that time trying new games I haven’t experienced yet.
But I do have a bad track record of buying games and never playing, the Steam curse is real

Fortunately, lots of games will always holds up. I could play the Mass effect trilogy 100 times and still enjoy it
True. I often think about how I'd probably be fine if I never got a newly released game ever again due to how many awesome games have already come out that I've never played. Still working through the Monster Hunter games, want to play all of the Final Fantasy games (saw someone mention FFXIV, i am sadly addicted to it lol), Mass Effect is DEFINITELY on my list and I will DEFINITELY play it in the next decade or two (i cannot put it off forever lol)

You hate movie-like games? Then you must really despise Naughty Dog and Hideo Kojima titles…

Also one thing i find strange is that persona has such a potential for RP but you rarely find anything about it. For a series that constantly tries to sell the MC as a self insert it's bizarre how they never tried to make a table top book about it, like hell even from soft released an armored core book

i prefer older titles as well. the recent AAA games have been pretty underwhelming

Never played Persona but 10/10 would blow my brains out to get stronger in a TTRPG or whatever they do in that game lol.

Mass Effect. I haven’t played the second one yet, though people say it’s the best. I’m a completionist, and the whole planet exploration thing kind of scares me a bit. As for the third… people say it’s the worst, thanks to that infamous “color-flavor” ending 😂.
Mass effect 2 have some of the best character writing in the series. The ending of 3 can be a bit of a let down, but the rest of the game is stellar, best gameplay of the 3 in my opinion.

Yeee I kinda wish they would go the other way and give the MC more personality if we ever get a Persona 6 :3 or at least add the option for a FMC, am sad while playing P3 that I have to play as the Male MC cause they removed the Female one (I know there's a mod but don't wanna use mods for my first playthrough :3)

May God hear you and may we have a P6.

Not really, because some of then are still fun, Uncharted puts so much emphasis on you always in control of the most insane shit happening, falling of a cargo plane, moving up on a massive capsized Cruze Ship, getting dragged in the mud by a rope just to hijack a enemy car, not to mention the really fun characters, it's such amazing use of cinematics that goes back around to being repayable even if you know what's about to happen

MGS too has enormous player feedback, the day I threw a grenade at a alligator and he eat it and fucking EXPLODED, and know MGS3 was especial, not to mention the other crazy shit, the games have a heavy use of cutscenes but they tend to be entertaining enough

But again, Persona 6 would go on my “Games I must play” list, and that list is ridiculously long. Maybe I should wait until I've accumulated some vacation time and have a gaming marathon.

Hello, new here too. Nothing much, just dicussing.
Welcome~ Normally, I would explain a lot of things to keep in mind in this forum, but since we will be moving soon and certain things will change, I feel it would be foolish to do so.

May God hear you and may we have a P6.
Persona 6 would be amazing, can only hope it's coming ;-; Have resorted to playing the P5 gacha game just to get more Persona :3

Did they change the price of Members Plus or not? Because I wonder by the way, I was always still here, I just wonder. Cuz I thought I saw something different about the price.
Checked today and it's 300 credits (I think up from 250 but still down from where it used to be), or $12 donation.

It's basically jojo mixed with urban setting rpg. Bunch of random guys trip into some sort of evil god's conspiracy and awaken to ghost-like monsters whose form and power reflects their user's nature based on a major arcana. They then use these powers to fight monsters from whaever dimension that evil god comes from (and sometimes also for personal goals). They get stronger by forming bonds with other arcanas and by overcoming their internal struggles. Since most games are standalone the setting can be almost anything wich opens a lot of pottential to TTRPG if they flesh out a good system to build the personas. As for the guns thing P3 main theme is mortality so they use gun shaped tools to summon theirs (In lore reason is for both adrenaline and because some dumbass suggested the design because he thought was cool, Yukari certainly disagrees). P4 uses cards and P5 uses masks

I totally understand you. When I heard that Darkest Dungeon II was coming out, I played the first one several times until it came out because I couldn't wait, haha.

Whenever I see Naughty Dog, I still think back to the first title I played of theirs, Way of the Warrior, released back on the 3DO console. Decent MK-like title for the day and had a good soundtrack by White Zombie. Hardest part was shelling out the money for a 3DO back in the day.

never played any persona games. are they worth checking out or are they an "acquired taste"?
