since i dont trust any fucking chat source code or anything, i am roadmapping and designing my own for lewdcorner, for now it will just be browser based chat, but ill eventually make it a full fledged app.

Is there not just a injection for the forum already out there back in the day there was that chat app for sites with a rainbow look the ui was like msn messenger it was text based with emjois.

there is but i do not hold a license for the chat app for xenforo 2.3 and dont plan to get one either + that chat app was shit.

I would not do that text dumps can be auto deleted but when you got into images then you half to increase storage aswell as mod them.

If it doesnt required to keep media for long, you can try filehosts with temporal access. Litterbox from the same admin as example

It will be ugly for real chats where users can read history for weeks in the past, but if people are expected to not look deeper than few days back, it could work.

Damn, I haven't been on ATF in years but hearing about it closing down it's pretty sad especially since it seems like it all happened because of some power hungry weirdo. Since Vis said that he will close it down in the next few months, maybe he will have time to reconsider and find a way to keep it alive. It would be a shame to see that place go down like that.
