Sounds like a historical correct reenactment of Jesus ressurection.

Hi everyone, first time posting here on the forum. I spent quite a while lurking the lurkers (pretty ironic, I know).

What a peculiar taste. I looked into the game and thought it was weird that a game about cats had a sensitive content warning. After I saw the trailer with cats giving birth through their butts and mating, I got it... Definitely on my wishlist.

My weekend is going to be playing Red Dead 2, studying programming, and warming up in Zbrush because I haven't touched 3D in a year...

Oooo welcome! Ye it's made by the creator of Binding of Isaac, which if you have played should let you know what you're in for :3

I'm studying programming too! Been forcing myself to do it under a strict schedule so I don't get side tracked by fun games :3

And I also need to play Red Dead 2! How are you enjoying it so far? <3

Seriously!? I have it in my library, but I’ve never played it. People always speak highly of it. I did think the art style looked really familiar.

Which language are you studying? It really is hard to focus on something non-visual when the dopamine is screaming. I’m learning Python, and with every new function, I feel like throwing it all out the window hahahaha.

RDR2 is great, but I think the hype ruined it for me. I went in thinking it was a masterpiece, but it’s just another game. Maybe lowering your expectations will help you enjoy it more, but it’s one of those games you have to play once in your life, and if you haven't seen any spoilers yet, stay off the internet until you beat it.

Ooo I defi recommend Isaac, it's my most played steam game for a reason :3

I'm currently learning to use Godot to make games, which has it's own language GDScript, I learnt Python in the past tho and it's definitely got some weird things compared to other languages I've used :) A good one to start with tho! (mb if you already know other languages, being a bit presumptuous <3)

And that sounds about right, I usually don't get too hyped for open world games (not super my thing) but I love the aesthetic and atmosphere of the first game so I'll defi check it out at some point <3

Well, it's downloaded, I'm going to check it out, thanks for the recommendation.

My goal is the same, making games. Godot seems really good, but I've heard it's a bit weak on the security side, is that true? Yeah, Python is my first language, you're right, I decided to start with it and then jump to C++ or C#. I’ve always been more of a humanities person, so exercising my logic has been a challenge. With every for/while loop, I lose a brain cell.

The atmosphere of the first one is actually really good, they really stepped it up, I think you’ll definitely enjoy it. But if you don't care much about graphics and all that, I highly recommend Kenshi. It’s a janky, weird game that doesn't do anything right, but it's extremely fun.

Oo let me know if you enjoy it! <3

I have heard of the security issues with Godot but I'm an extremely novice programmer so I'm just hoping I don't run into any of those problems :)

That's the same path I went, using Python as a student into using C# with Unity :3 I think everyone loses brain cells trying to understand programming fundamentals when they start as well x-x It's really a skill that you have to learn cause they barely make sense to humans :) I know we have some programmers here so if you have any roadbumps I'm sure someone here would be willing to help <3 (also feel free to DM me with any questions but I'm far from an expert :3)

I've actually had Kenshi on my wishlist for years and years! Defi need to check it out even tho I'm not the biggest fan of sandbox games (I need some sense of direction :3) but the game does look really interesting, especially from a design perspective <3 Ty for the recommendation also :)

Ah, so it seems like a common path for newbie programmers. I was going to learn JavaScript, but frontend is so boring, I thought that was the 'natural path.' Good to know there are programmers here, but I still don't know how to send a DM haha; this is the first forum where I've stopped lurking due to 'out of necessity' D: .

Kenshi is great, it's one of the few games I've spent over 500 hours on in just a few weeks. The discovery phase is the best part, you won't regret it (or maybe you will, who knows :P).
