Sometimes a death will make the others take it more seriously, just a few bad dice rolls and things can get bad quickly. Why prepping as players is key. ( I'm the one usually dying with my bad dice rolls, I'm cursed I tell ya.) Wouldn't have it another way though, I hate playing games where everything is too easy.

Haha yeah I'm the same. Rolled a Nat 20 a few weeks back and jumped out my chair and the sorcerer was like l, silvery barbs, roll again.

But my old dm is joining so hopefully he can take charge of the party.

Also obvious dragon hoard is obvious. The paladin was git to greedy. Died went down to a poison bite of a young green dragon and died to it's claw in one turn
