we have the nesquik syrup here, its not that.
i remembering it being some type of powdered malt drink that was marketed to kids, hot in the winter & cold in the summer.
i can smell it just thinking about it but cant remember the name, bet it'll come to mind next week

Nothing special though as the powder or liquid taste the the same. Both can be used in different ways though.

yep, you can make it hot or cold + you can put it on anything, including ice cream

chocolate milk is not known for it being a high quality milk product even though its still a milk product & high in goodies.

we would never import milk from the USA, its not up to our standards (or their processed uncooked meats)
like ground beef "chub" in a tube LOL

The absolute slander being spoken here. They absolutely do not taste the same, although you won't notice much until you try to make it more chocolatey. The syrup is trash for making chocolate milk compared to the powder.
