Sandbox, at least when implemented properly, feels more like a game than a visual novel.

That's why some people, including myself, like them.

When it's done right, it can go from a just clicking game, to more of a gaming experience!

While that's also true, it's pretty rare devs to properly implement a sandbox system.
Majority of them is super grindy or just throw you into the sandbox with 0 hints available and you're just on your own to figure out what to do.
Or just the ones that require to find X amount of Y things before continuing and it's always buggy and extremely hard to find anything.

But I also agree with this.
Have seen too many implementations of the wrong kind...

Especially if you have to do that AND find the things at a certain place and time or you have to wait a week to try again................

It's always fun because those types of games only have a "skip time" button that goes per-hour (in-game time) so you just have to spam click that (or hope you can "go to sleep" before a certain time)
