There are various types of adult games. Some fully focused on the porn aspect and essentially are only made to be masturbation material (nukige) and in this case you have a point about combat. But there are also games that have porn as one aspect of the game and not the totality of it (eroge). They have an actual story, combat, world building etc. A lot of RenPy games are just glorified CG galleries and not games IMO, because they solely focus on the porn aspect. I can achieve the same, and most likely better, effect by reading a doujinshi online.

It still comes back to personal taste though. I prefer games with porn and your prefer porn in VN form. And that is fine.

I want a game, but not the navigating bullshit (I filter out sandbox) or combat. I hate kinetic novels, too - because that isn't a game. If I didn't want input I'd watch porn - much better graphics.
