It was blatantly an excuse and they moved on from porn like 1 or 2 days later. Porn is an easy target because it's very easy to counteract with a porn defender argument.

Either way, kids will always find a way and by restricting their access will only force them to try other ways that can actually harm them like using the dark web.
I remember being a teen getting blocked by my home's internet providers from accessing porn sites and I went around that shit in less than 30m and I didn't even know what a VPN was (this was around the late 2000s, early 2010s)

Yeah, kids are tech savvy enough that if they want to see something online, give them an hour to research it and they can probably get it.

I mean I feel like most of them nowadays will just ask chatgpt "Hey how do I get around all these porn blocks?"

I tried some of those roblox games and I honestly cant see why its as popular as it is honestly

I know I created it a long time ago to download a game or something but this is my first time actually being active so that's what I meant

Only because right now they don't care about much else. You don't give them much credit that they also mod and build things in Roblox which does require a solid amount of technical savvy even if they've pretty user friendly, and they're way better at it than when I was their age

I know someone that makes dresses in Blender and sells them to people to use them in the game. It's basically their job and normally sells like 3 or 2 a week. Fucking bonkers and makes me feel old af for not getting it lol

I mean they're made for kids lol I notice my nephew whenever he's playing them they're kind of like the now popular idle games, you slowly gain points, spend points to upgrade, get points faster, repeat.

Not sure that is the plan haha

It not being the plan, doesn't change that a crypto only game store will not be popular with users, and consequently the devs.

I'm all for protecting minors from porn but using that as an excuse to implement internet censorship is horrible.

The best protection from porn is education. Blocking it does not solve the issues it brings and if you don't educate your kid on what porn is, they will most likely have issues if they interact with it when they are an adult. Same with the internet in general really.

Yes and its ironic that they'll cover up how the British royalty and American billionaires/politicians both had ties with Epstein

Remember. Epstein did not kill himself. And Maxwell didn't kill herself either. (I am from the future)

It was blatantly an excuse and they moved on from porn like 1 or 2 days later. Porn is an easy target because it's very easy to counteract with a porn defender argument.

It is very funny to see people try to take the moral high ground when talking about porn, when most of them are consuming porn themselves. Then there are the "porn is misogyny" puritans who clearly didn't get the memo about gay porn. One tried to argue to me that gay porn.

Can't say that for the current roblox addicted gen alpha tho

Roblox is genuinely worse for children than porn tbh. It is brainrot central.

I tried some of those roblox games and I honestly cant see why its as popular as it is honestly

One of the most popular games is essentially Farmville from the early age Facebook.
