Last bunch of replies, then sleep time!

I played GTA San Andreas with a realism mod — so yeah, I have played GTA 6.
But seriously, the image is just a meme — I always see that Ryse: Son of Rome (2013) screenshot used to compare with new games. It’s like the universal benchmark for “how graphics should look” memes.

Doing great! Got a bit of extra free time, so I’m finally catching up on some movies I’ve had saved for ages.

I'm doing pretty fine, actually! Just living in the site, replying to some people, wandering in the image threads... The basic stuff.

Slowly getting my curated thread caught up. I've been busier than I thought, just not here.

And yeah, I’ve had a movie list for over 5 years now… some of them I’ve never watched. Same goes for games — at this rate, I’ll finish everything before I hit 80 (hopefully).

Exactly! GTA VI wishes it had half the soul of San Andreas with 200 mods and a 10GB texture pack.

If I remember right Mede was a soldier (can't be bothered to pull him up on UESP at the moment). Screw it I did look it up and it doesn't say anything about that. Anyway, I think he made the understandable mistake of looking at things purely in terms of his own weaknesses, and concluded that the Empire simply couldn't fight any longer. Which was possibly correct but he missed that the Thalmor really couldn't keep fighting either. So he failed to realize that they needed the peace as badly as the Empire did, and was way too willing to accept terms that were purposely crafted to splinter the Empire by alienating two of its most warlike provinces and dismantling its intelligence service.

Skyrim happens 20-some years later and right now the Empire should be arming an entire new generation of young men, larger and more prepared than the last one (cause humans can do that), to teach the Thalmor the lesson that didn't quite sink in when Numidium taught it. Instead they're mired in a totally avoidable civil war in what should be a vital part of their war machine, dealing with frosty at best relations with what should be another vital part, and stewing in despair over in Cyrodiil itself. Meanwhile the Thalmor get to replenish themselves at mer breeding speeds and leisurely undermine the civic trust of the Empire's citizenry.

TLDR Mede choked

Mede did more damage to the Empire by signing the stupid treaty and enforcing it.
One Reason I have mods to be High King instead since both sides suck and the only right way is to take over myself.

I've seen mixed reactions to the series in my circles, so I’m planning to wait until the full season is out before jumping in.
We’ll see how it shapes up — fingers crossed it sticks the landing!

So you are waiting till next week? The last 3 episodes come out next tuesday. I'll probably will binge it next weekend, it can't be worse than Secret Invasion right? ...Right?

You can consciously choose to not play a game anymore at any point of completion, thinking about said game won't change the fact you stopped playing.
In fact, it'd be dumb not to think about it, because, how would you know you have played and don't wanna play it anymore when you see it popping up later if you forget about it?

On a brighter note, I watched the first episode of Ironheart and enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll watch the other two released episodes tomorrow.

I would love to watch it, it looks great -- but unfortunately I choose to not subscribe to Disney, I can only subscribe to just so many services .
