We think it stems from the nature of these VN and what most people play them for.
FeMC games for the most part are Slut Simulators played to corrupt a nice attractive nad successful lady, so putting old, fat ugly guys is a natural step of the game because it's some extreme form of corruption.
Male MC games on the other hand are mostly played by people who wanna live vicariously through someone or insert themselves in the story, and we don't think many people want to lewd an old, fat ugly girlie.

Pretty gross either way. Also, too many female MC ones make her a victim rather than a slut.

I agree with both of these statements. I don't personally like playing games where a woman fucks around willy-nilly, hypocritical though that might be.
But I also hate games where the women are treated as little more than sex-slaves and cumrags.
