Anyone else here a fan of Doctor Who? Been watching the new season and it's pretty good. I'd putt it up there with the David Tennat time except the shorter episode lengths and counts kinda make them feel a bit rushed

Never could get into Doctor Who.

Girl I sat next to in high school French swore by it so I gave it a shot. Didn't hit right. I said as much and she went "oh no don't start with that episode you gotta start with this one". Tried that one, meh. Again, "nono you've gotta try this other series instead".

Sensing a pattern, I rewatched Deep Space Nine.

Man I love musicals. I think about Phantom of the Opera for 1 second and the songs are stuck in my head.
I just watched Tick, Tick, Boom again recently.

There's just something about the over-the-top melodrama that draws me in.
I blame growing up with Disney movies.

ya, you gotta be into the campy scifi to really enjoy it. IT's got some really great stories if you do but i don't blame people who say they can't get into it.

DS9 is really good, didn't watch it when it first came out cause it seemed too much like a Babalon 5 rip off (need to sit down and watch the entire series I missed a lot of episodes), but I rewatched it a while back and enjoyed it

Yes I'm caught up, watched the latest episode today. Really like this doctor, he's almost on par with David Tennant, but there is a rumor this is his last season.

I really hope not I really like him as to Doctor especially now that they've got his character worked out, and it feels like the shorter seasons and episodes and how many Doctor light episodes there were they really under utilize him. I'd like to see him do at least one more season. Though if they did have to swap him out, I'd like to see that guy from Dot and Bubble get the part of the Doctor. I heard rumors he had been considered for the part earlier and he would fit the role really well IMHO.

Firefly was great, too bad it came on at the time Fox was getting a bunch of good shows that it ran for one season then didn't renew for a second. A lot of good shows were lost in that time.

Picard is my favorite captian, but I think DS9 is my favorite series

I also liked Enterprise, it had its flaws and they never took advantage of it's full potential as a prequal but I still liked it.
