From what I remember the new series is supposed to revolve around the new avatar dealing with the negative side effects of Korra choosing to leave the spirit world gates open.

At least they are going to address it. I want some truly malevolent spirits around but I doubt I'll get it.

I doubt they'll go supper dark but with it not having to worry about TV ratings any more and people being used to more mature story archs in animation I wouldn't be surprised if they go some place the others weren't able to.

A lot of people don't like Legend of Korra because it "wasn't as good as Last Air Bender" but I still liked the series. I hear they're working on a new series that takes place after Korra's time.

I would actually like to know more about the past than the future, so many avatar with interesting stories that we have not fully explored, maybe a more fleshed out version of the first avatar that was sawn on korra's story would be good, even the continuation of azula's arc after the spirit temple would be interesting.

Edit: the full list if I'm remembering correctly is a post Korra series, 2 to 3 movies set during Aang's time set after the series, and 1 to 2 movies set in Kehoshi's time showing her becoming the avatar, I believe her backstory involved her being one of the few avatars who grew up on the streets because they didn't discover who she was until she was in her late teens.

Hey, as long as it works it doesn't matter how it's coded. Look at Undertale, probably one of the worst coded games there is and still holds a spot on my top 3 best experiences I have ever had playing a videogame

I liked the first season, even though it ended quickly, was actually hoping the villain wasn't just some random bender ( can't remember the name). I watched the rest but can't really remember much except I didn't like what they did to the spirit realm.
