I see the potential logic that the anus has far fewer nooks and crannies relative to a mouth (with intact teeth), but I'm not even talking about bacteria (though the varieties of bacteria may not overlap much, I don't know). My first argument is that any time I've ever had shit touch my skin (TP failure, etc), no amount of soap and washing removes the smell for me in any reasonable timeframe.

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but what theme are you using? Probably it isn't related, but just to rule out any possible causes
