Ill give you that, even my 1650 have a rough time with it. Havent played an AC since Blackflag, tell us if its as good or bad as people say.
I want to say Black Flag was the last one I absolutely loved, plus Edwards Assassin Suit was my favorite default. The rest, I just kind of went with the flow, still enjoyed some, but it felt like yearly iterations like Call of Duty did.

Yeah I mean they're both Hero Shooters but for some reason Overwatch wasnt my cup of tea... speaking of, I prefer TF2 over both of them but it doesnt have cute characters to ogle at
I haven't played TF2. Here's most of the games I've played in the last year:
Pokemon Go (every day all day) lol
Fortnite (play with my kids and their friends)
Remnant: From the Ashes (it's older, but we are having fun with it and apparently the sequel blows this one away in every regard)
Deep Rock Galactic (only played a handful of times over the years)
Vermintide 2 (Warhammer co-op melee/shooter)
Grounded (such a good game, very difficult at first)
7 Days to Die (my most played game with almost 1000 hours, most recent play with the Darkness Falls mod)
Valheim (second most played game)
Fallout 4
Need for Speed: Unbound

Part of me gets pissed when that happens then my sensible half takes over and tells me that they are performing a service and deserve patience as they do their job which should be appreciated yet is often thankless
I'm just a little disappointed.

I had the VN downloaded, the Mod downloaded, ready to play, then I saw there was a bad glitch, couldn't open my saves (Dev went on Steam, some rework was done and borked shit - seems to be a common theme the last 6 months...), but the fix came out the day after I downloaded, so I redown the whole 17G+ file earlier this evening and check in with the Modder to see if he's aware of the bugfix and ask if the Mod should still be good. Don't expect instant answers, but it's worrisome when the Mod was last seen in the forum seven days before, so no telling when they'll see the question about whether the Mod needs to be reworked. This particular Modder has a reputation for being slow to rework and slow to respond, so it's just kind of a "great - limbo" feeling.

Just another situation where I'll be falling behind again, and with as large as that file was, I may not have room for any other VN that has an update, so I'm potentially at an impass.

At least Eternum went well - good Dev that doesn't fuck shit up, reliable WT modder that works quickly. Going through withdrawal again...:(

For me AC died when Desmond did, since then there wasnt a coherent story or well writen protag (not saying that Desmond was a masterpiece of writing but compared to recent protags...)

I'm curious as to which game it is...17+GB is the largest VN I've heard of so far.

Grounded (such a good game, very difficult at first)
Grounded was basically one of those side projects, by a tiny ass team, that was an excellent end product. One that did well, but got screwed by early access and gamepass, so high player count, but not as many people buying it, especially at full price. I know it did good on Steam, though. Very underrated game, I think it's funny that it was inspired by Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and that movie's original working title was Grounded. Also, where the hell is the Animated series, wasn't it supposed to be out like 3 years ago!?

I didn't know about any of that except the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids inspiration. We were very impressed with how good it is...we put in about 53 hours, didn't quite defeat the end part. I think we got distracted with some other game(s). We love multi-player co-ops.

Artemis.

I've had a couple of at around 10G, maybe 12, but this is the largest so far, I think. Been meaning to play City of Broken Dreamers forever, but it was already over 10G when I had my older laptop with a lot less available space so I kept putting it off until I saw it was going to be ending. Still haven't grabbed it, but I think it's around 20G. Even though I can make the room for these things, the DL is getting wild. Most sites start to throttle free users at some point.

For Artemis, I had to switch the VPN every 3-4G to maintain speed and get it in under 2 hours. I also probably need to replace my modem - this one is old and was purchased to handle the bandwidth on my plan when I got it, but now I think my plan has doubled in speed without actually paying to upgrade, and the modem was rated to handle about 1/2 to 3/4 of what I have now. 🤷‍♂️

I like the Hazelight stuff, It Takes Two and A Way Out, I haven't tried Split Fiction, heard it's good. I'm pretty fond of the Puzzle Co-op stuff like Trine. The Series is basically a Multiplayer version of The Lost Vikings.

Anyhow, I'm out.

City of Broken Dreamers is def worth a play at least from what I remember. Fairly good writing and I really liked the setting.

Yeah - I saw recorded plays of it and a few others a few years ago and really liked the looks of it and the writing. Don't remember all the names, but I'm pretty enamored of Katie. ;)

I had a surprisingly good time with my partner and Young Souls which is (or maybe was) free with Prime Gaming. It’s a co-op side scroller fighting game with a pretty good difficulty curve.

Congrats, you made it to the big leagues! I have months to go still to get there it looks like. One day!

How much buffer are you hoping to build up before pulling the trigger? Same question to @DubbleU
