Every missed opportunity is because we failed to try.

I still sit down and talk with my folks and watch things together. Me and my folks (sometimes including my wife and/or kids) are enjoying watching the old Whose Line Is It Anyway episodes (that I got ripped copies of from a friend I can't name) whenever I/we visit.

Just a couple weeks ago my old man called and asked me if I could come over. No reason, other than he wanted to see me. All I had to do was show my wife the text and that was that.

Well, non-H you probably did not even hear about - Jagged Alliance 2, it's a TTG. Surprisingly very devoted fanbase that to this day releases mods and reworks to the original.

Yes, I'm super excited for Z-A! It's looking really good so far. I love the idea of battling Pokemon in the middle of the city, plus the new battle mechanics look like they'll be an interesting challenge to master. I'm really hoping they'll reveal some new Megas soon tho, I'm dying for any news I can get lol.

Been playing Arknights for 3rd day now.
Damn, why I picked up this game only now? It's so awesome!
I enjoy that I literally can't complete stages on 1st attempt (rarely do, but those are just straightforward) and that 1st attempt is, pretty much, a recon. Really enjoy this.
And when I finally beat some hard stage? Damn that's satisfying!

Which 6 stars you got?
Some can really help out early, and can be carried into end game teams too.

Normal = 7 Days to Die with the Darkness Falls mod
H = Radiant, Such a Sharp Pain, God Life, Lost and Bound

I haven't tried the Darkness Falls mod, well haven't tried many mods for that game, only a couple that added extra weapons.
What makes it good?

I had a friend over and we played an escape room type board/card game called Exit: The Game: The Cursed Labyrinth. It's a cool puzzle game, was quite fun. Anyone else play one of these before?

I've seen them on the shelves over here.
But never tried them, is it a one and done thing, or is there some variaty to it, if you play it again?

This is the first time I know there is a bank. Is it always good to use it?

Yupp, the bank is nice, you can collect 2% interest every 24 hours.
Be warned though, depositing and withdrawing resets the timer to a new 24 hours.
So the thing is, to do it after you've collected.

MTG! Admittedly, I have never played. However, I have a newer coworker (young guy) that's obsessed.

I've always been open to trying it but the opportunity never really presented itself and no one in my family has ever gotten involved with trading card games.

Said coworker has told me he'd outright give me a deck if I wanted to play. Think I should take the offer?

Unfortunately, we ended up trying One Night in Loliwood but were turned off by it.

We ended up doing a partial replay of The Daddy Plan which we plan on finishing tomorrow.

I briefly attempted learning guitar and spent some time with friends toying with the idea of starting a band. It ended up going nowhere for all of us, but it was a fun time. Wish I'd held on to that first guitar even if I'd never play it again. Hopefully it ended up in the hands of someone that gave her some good use.

If he's willing to try and teach you, while going slow, and you're willing to learn it, I don't see a probably with at least trying it out.
I like it, and all the deck possibilities makes me squeal!

Unfortunately, we ended up trying One Night in Loliwood but were turned off by it. Not @Jorund 's fault at all, there are just themes in there that put me and my wife off immediately.

@Jorund was fantastic in his recommendations though, I have to give him some serious praise. There's damn near a page worth of recommendations to go through, all with links and full descriptions and explanations (written by @Jorund himself) all because I asked. He deserves kudos.

As with most things, personal preference is personal and subjective. Glad the other game is treating you well instead - and glad you have members of the community contributing suggestions too! Nice to have recommendations. I would be interested to see some well done reviews if Jorund’s list of recs is published somewhere

I'll talk with him next time we work together and see where things go. From what I gathered, he gets together with a small group to play every week at a little hobby shop.

I know I've seen a good deal of MTG art and lore that I've enjoyed. Not sure if a TCG is my speed but what's the harm in trying?
