I may have done this more than once. Didn't know the term for it.
That type of shit does happen -- In 1987, Kenneth Parks, a 23 year old Canadian drove 14 miles to and killed his mother-in-law and almost choked his father-in-law to death all while sleepwalking and then drove to the police station while still asleep . In 1992 he was acquitted of the murder. At trial, Parks argued that he was automatistic and not criminally liable. In his defense, a doctor testified as to his mental state at the time of the murder. From the doctor's evidence, it was determined that the accused was sleepwalking at the time of the incident, and that he was suffering from a disorder of sleep rather than neurological, psychiatric, or other illness. Five neurological experts also confirmed that he was sleepwalking during the time of the incident. The jury acquitted Parks.

With a lot of planning and research -- its a good defense to keep in your back pocket.

As an aspiring fantasy writer I have yet to broach the female dwarf question. And my main character is a male dwarf so he's gonna meet his wife eventually.
Perhaps you might draw inspiration from Terry Pratchett's "Cheery Longbottom" of Ankh-Morepork City Watch (Discworld series of books).

I'm sure you'll be able to pick her out. You might also be inspired by the werewolf in the picture. ;)

Also remembered this two great mimes... And what day if not today to post them?

I did manage to find another clown that I liked.

It's your world, you get to decide.

That said, since you are yet undecided and other opinions might help, I have always been a fan of dwarves being outwardly almost indistinguishable across the sexes.

Gimli's line: "..so alike in voice and appearance that they are often mistaken for dwarf men."

The opportunity to play with more subtle differences between the sexes is fun.

I once DM'ed a session that included my little brother and his wife where they both played dwarves. His wife is a couple years older than he is, and their characters matched. Her character was hairier and buffer than my brother's character, leading many to assume they were gay, or that her character was the male. It was really fun to play around with because we kept their actual genders and relationship a secret from the rest of the table. Wasn't too long before everyone had it figured out, but it was fun. I also created a brother for his character that was openly gay because in my world, the physical similarity between dwarves is so close that relationships are mainly emotionally driven based on compatibility, rather than physical considerations.

Hehehe. More like every character-- and I mean EVERY character-- is on the same level as a klansmen.

Ya dig?
so business as usual

could be fun over closet racists.

Yes, as a matter of fact I AM a spelling and grammar [word that gets used way too much by people with tiny IQs].
Noble Authentic Zestful Intellectual? And I thought that that cow was deeply religious - hence the holy rather than holely

Thanks for the feedback. I've strayed far enough from JRRT that I don't think the bearded dwarves are *not* for me, but I haven't ruled them out.

Not actually as fun as it sounds.

I've suffered from night terrors since I was a boy and while I don't sleep walk, I once "woke up" (by that I mean I'd been hallucinating for several minutes by the time I 'came to') to my hand around my mother's throat, and my father pinning me down seconds later.

My mother made the mistake of trying to wake me from one of these night terrors and I was conscious but still dreaming and saw my parents as shadowy figures and was fighting back against them.

When I say I had my mother by the throat, I don't just mean a neck grip. I was seconds away from crushing and wrenching her trachea.

This kind of thing is very real, but anyone that would use it as an excuse should experience every kind of horror before they die in my opinion.

Alrighty, then. Been a day. G'night.

My bed calls to me. Tomorrow promises to be another long day, hopefully less stressful. Have a good morning, afternoon, or evening. Whenever it might be for you.

Goodnight all, thanks for the jokes and the art today. Hope tomorrow treats you kindly 🩷

Good point and I do agree -- I have slept walked a few times - in fact I used to sleep nude until my daughter was born and my occasional sleepwalking was enough to make me wear pajamas "just in case" The only regrettable thing I ever did while sleep walking was I once urinated in my family's silverware drawer.

So what if the Gods of the world I am creating are involved in the race war? After all, they started it...

We cooking yet?

Okay last tidbit before I sign off; The Race War™️ actually server a purpose. Once the final war has been fought, and the victor race stands alone, then they are tasked to conquer the galaxy.

And with that... Good Night.
