That was me this last holiday when I had to host my family for the first time.
I'm guessing you ordered take out after that? :P

Damn, will miss having you around here DubbleU.
Hope you find time for us again. :p
I'm not going to be AWOL, or anything. I just can't mill about like I have been the last couple weeks.
See you round, DubbleU! Big project?
I got my Cannes Invitation finally, and need to brush up on my French. I have to take a bunch of pictures, and delegate some of my responsibilities for Mid-May, so I had to fly to LA, and get a bunch of shit done.

I share an Apartment with a weird ass co-worker, and I'm hardly ever here, so the guy thinks he can just have dirty dishes and clothes scattered about, at least he took the trash out. So, he wasn't 3 for 3 on my co-habitation peeves. I basically have to deal with it, since the place is essentially free, because my Boss owns the building. I ended up cleaning for like 30 minutes, took off to the LA River Bike Trail for a quick run. I was hoping to go to Bull Creek, but the guy giving me a ride wasn't going that way.
Read you later, good luck with whatever will keep you busy.
I'm essentially still here, but will be less active. I can still multi-task, of course. I have 3 flights in the next 9 days, so I need to be on my toes.

Sample renders look good, story looks potentially interesting, and I think I was watching it at the other place (though not here for some reason), but the "voiced" tag worries me.

I played one VN that added voices part way through and I turned them off because they were too different from those I had already imagined in my head (I recall one of the 20-something LIs sounded like she had been smoking four packs a day during forty years of giving truck stop blow jobs, while the MILF sounded like a JAV school girl that had inhaled helium), and I've been hesitant to deliberately try another since.

What's your assessment so far? Is the voice acting good? Enough differentiation? Do the voices seem to "fit" the characters? Or is it the kind of thing that makes 70s and 80s "three words and fuck" pornos sound sophisticated?

That sounds amazing (and glad to hear you’ll still be around!) I’ve never been to a film festival but always wanted to go.

Have you been to one before? If so what are they like?

If you're talking about the "grind" for coins here.
Then it's not as hard, as it has been, sometime ago the coins you recieve for doing anything, was increased by a litte.
If you're talking about your Monday work, then I hope it's not too stressful for you. :p

Both. Was up til 5 A.M. my time. had to be up by 830.

only thing keeping me awake now is I need to prep my fat cat's food so he'll let me sleep in peace.

The voicework comes in the form of animated cutscenes at key points in the story.

The voicework is good for amateurs. It was, however, a bit jarring when the voices in my head didn't match the characters.

My biggest criticism with the voicework is that the girls all end up sounding nearly identical because they keep trying to do the "sexy important woman" voice, rather than pick an identity and stick with it. Combined with the fact that it's a bunch of amateur creators, not proper actors, you get that "voice doesn't match the scene/moment" issue quite a bit.

That said, the voicework isn't bad - I'd even go so far as to say it's actually pretty good considering.

You can disable the voiced cutscenes entirely and play it as a pure AVN, though the cutscenes sometimes add to the moment. You won't miss anything if you skip them, but sometimes they do accent a scene. There's a particularly emotional scene in which two of the characters speak in a very somber and touching way and if you skip the voiced scene, the moment doesn't hit quite as hard. The voice acting done there improves the scene in my opinion.

TLDR - It's optional. you can skip/disable it entirely. Voices are good for amateur work, but are noticeably amateurs. Overall an improvement to the experience but is a bit jarring at first.

(The game itself is amazing. A very solid 9/10 to me and my wife, combining humor, sci-fi, wholesome, and fun. Not one of our favorites, but it comes close. Much closer than either of us expected.)

Love Rogue. Also love Cat Woman and Spider-Gwen off the top of my head. I also love dill pickles. 💚

Very few. Looks like you put Guardians 2 in top 5, but I personally liked 1 better. Also like I said I really liked Shang Chi, I think it's high A-tier for me.
To be fair, it's been a few years since I've seen Shang Chi and I can't remember it well. Could bump it up when I rewatch it. And I personally like GotG 2 over 1 because the found family messaging is great and resonates strongly with me. Both are great movies, but a top 5 can only have 5 movies in it (both were in it before I got to Black Panther and Infinity War).
