If you are new, I recommend reading also this thread with a relatively new ranking system.
TL;DR (if I understood correctly) coins received for "activity" allow you to purchase upgrades permanently, but their receipt is relatively slow. Coins received for "donations" allow you to buy upgrades instantly, but they are opened temporarily.

If I made a mistake somewhere, I hope more experienced forum members will correct me.

And after 3.5 hours, I can finally get to the NEW content... Trying to catch up on the backlog is a losing battle when you have to replay so many mature VNs from the beginning. Between Sancho, Steam reworks, RenPy upgrades, etc., I'm having to completely replay about a dozen of the VNs in my list. Guessing many of you may be in the same boat.

We need to band together like the pirates we are and have some of the Steam rework and RenPy upgrade devs walk the plank.

I mean, I understand why those things get done, but maybe decide to do it before you're halfway (or more!) through your damn VN!

Movie night was.. interesting. We ended up watching The Greatest Showman again after I made the decision.

It turns out the reason my son was so indecisive about the movie tonight was because he rather enjoys musicals and - unbeknownst to me - watched a few with his sisters. He wanted to watch Les Misérables tonight but wanted to talk to me alone before we all sat down together. Apparently some little cunt my girls have been hanging out with overheard him talking with his sisters about the musicals they've watched and chose to bully him at school about possibly being gay.

When I confronted my daughters, they both shot out of their room right past me after saying - basically in unison - "What the FUCK did she say?!"

They immediately went to his room and when I got there they were hugging and talking about it.

I was worried they might be allowing their friend to bully their little brother, but it sounds like the little shit has a lesson coming her way in the form of two fiery twins.

I decided that watching the movie he wanted to watch under the emotional circumstances wouldn't be the most enjoyable way he could watch it, so I decided we could re-watch a movie I suspected he enjoyed but didn't want to admit to.

Think I made the right call.

When "This Is Me" came up, I held him close and reminded him that his mother and I love him no matter what and his sisters have his back no matter what. I hate that some little bitch cracked his self-conscious. Even if it's temporary.

Next week, we'll be watching Les Misérables, and if my girls don't sort this little bitch out themselves I'll be making a few calls.

That's actually really nice, been hearing too much about parents being ashamed or punishing their kids for what they like so its good to hear about a parent actively supporting their kid and their interests. Thanks for the write up it really warmed my heart.

I'm actually guilty of it, as well, but I learned and stopped when I unwittingly upset someone. I've always been an opinionated guy, I will call a spade a spade. If someone is being a prick, I will say it. Although, I've never really openly antagonized someone, but I am guilty of saying hurtful things, unknowingly, that's life and growing up, we're only human. Most people can break themselves of bad habits, if they surround themselves with decent people, especially. If the people around them are more of the same, they'll fester into scum. I've straight up dropped friends for being toxic.

Dunno how many of you play "Radiant" and had the misfortune of using the Sancho mod, but, even with his fixer, all of my saves seem to assume I didn't tell Liv I loved her, so the most major thing that happened at the end of the last release is playing out as though it didn't. I think this will be my third or fourth full replay, and I'm doing 8 paths! Given how much of a fucktard SD is, at least I'll have a year or so to get around to it before the next release.... Damn you, Sancho!

Appears the new modder does things more simply - all I ever really want is a WT prompter - is this decision major and what kind of points does it give, then I can decide to do a save branch or not. I guess I also like them to tell me if I'm on the path for any achievements as well, but that shouldn't be a save killer either. UGH!

Damn, I thought Sancho was THE walkthrough guy, I haven't played more than one chapter of radiant, which I used the mod on.
Its really sucks having to restart the game, what sucks even more than that regular "system update, restart game" is that if you weren't actively following the releases you wouldn't know you missed the content and wonder what happened to that character, what did you do wrong to mess up the relation ship path, only for it to have nothing to do with what you did.

We actually talked about a lot tonight, one of those things being masculinity. I openly hate musicals and a part of him was worried about how I'd feel if he kept choosing them for movie night when it was his turn.

I hope the girl that said these things learns her lesson but I refuse to feel a shred of sympathy.

I learned from growing up that the only way to get through to a bully is to beat them down until they're the ones that feel powerless.

I'm not one for violence, I even love actions movies and gory Horror films, but the real shit I'm usually not okay with. Of course, there are a few exceptions. Sometimes people only learn if they get their ass beat, so when someone says some insanely idiotic thing that gets them knocked the fuck out, I scratch it up to karma. "Don't start none, won't be none."

He is very sweet but constantly tries to start a long conversation - I once had to stay there for about 30 minutes after checkout...
