I love octopuses. I have a giant tattoo of one on my left leg. They are super smart which is a big plus, but I don't think I'd actually want to be one. Plus I'm not a huge fan of being in water.

An Octopus would make a shitty manager/boss to work under now that I think about it. They tend to punch their subordinates or eat them.

yeah, but you got no bones, legs, or fingers. Maybe if you were a human octopus it would be nice to have an extra limb, but I don't think exclusively having tentacles is better than 2 hands, and as a human you generally don't want extra tentacles coming out of you.

Statiscally speaking, sure, still, I dont have thaat bad luck, I hope, and it must be one or two people, on the other side, entire countries likes to eat octopuses... so, still the better choice.
