if you could be any animal what would it be?

I would have to say a Greenland shark

(Somniosus microcephalus) is the longest-living vertebrate on Earth, with an estimated lifespan of around 500+ years

I'm guilty of this, Michael Keaton was my Batman as a kid, wasn't fond of Clooney or Kilmer as Bruce, but their Batman was decent. Adam West Batman was goofy as hell, loved the show, but it's so damn cheesy, lots of fun, just not my thing. Bale was good, for sure, and I liked Ben Affleck, sucks we didn't get that solo movie with him, had a ton of potential. Did not like Robert as The Batman, wasn't fond of the movie or casting for the majority of the cast. Robert was excellent in High Life, though.

So, for me Keaton was my favorite Batman, but I still find the casting iffy. Kevin Conroy in the Animated series and majority of the animated movies and games he voiced will always be my number 1 overall, R.I.P. Kevin.
I do absolutely love Adam West, I met him a whole bunch of times, from my childhood up until his death.

Pretty sure the fans who saw the one on the right went all crazy insulting the others because the suit was not hand made anymore.
I remember I wore the same thing when I was a kid, surely that helps to identify.

anybody have any good recommendations for hidden gem horror movies, just watched barbarian and loved it and hoping I can find some more horror movies not a lot of people talk about

idk if they’re ‘hidden gems’ or not but I recommend As Above So Below and The Ritual. They’re some of the only recent horror I’ve seen to get a reaction out of me

[uncbuck]

Hello and good morning to you all fine folk, question- when was the last time you went to the theater to see a movie? I used to go all the time but now with having a tight budget to keep to I havent gone in years, maybe Ill go see superman this year if the word of mouth is good but its a far cry from when I used to go like every week when I was younger

The last movie I saw in a theater was Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018 -- I have no problem waiting till something can be streamed - Before that it was The Two Towers

Go for seaguls instead. All the perks of a pigeon in coastal cities plus an aerial superiority to proudly shit on human's cars.

Fun thing about pigeons AND seagulls is that they are a nice flying buffet for Falcons and Hawks

As Above, So Below is one of those movies that is a little better on a second watch. Flawed, but a decent found footage horror film. The Ritual is damn good, but the book was better in my opinion, of course that's often the case.

Got it, welcome me to the club, bros!

I also got it. Told ya I'd see you there!

Hm, what is the best bird, the real advantage of seagulls and pidgins are that they are discrete, so you could "Animorph" without drawing attention

As a furry, I’ve already thought about this. German Shepherd.

Books are for nerds. Does a kickflip and skateboards away.

Happily embraced being a nerd a long time ago.

I'd recommend watching the movie first, antagonists in the book are much better, things are more detailed, but it helps appreciate the book a lot more, if you see the movie. Of course, you could do either/or, but if you have time, why not? I try to read at least 2 books per month, outside of online novels that I read daily when I have extra time.

I can’t read books bc the words just slide right off my smooth ADHD brain.

Yes, I’ve seen both hereditary and midsommar. Liked both but definitely preferred hereditary of the two.

Yes, Hereditary is real terror. Midsommer is something else.

Its interesting to seeing how different people respond to these hypothetical questions, some people take it serious, thinking though the pros and cons, environmental factors, etc.

Others just choose an animal they love, cats are cool? I'm gonna be one.

Mmmmm... What does it say about me? I chose to be the bear Yogi.

Nothing like a big ol bear for cuddling!!

I really would like to be a bear.

Afternoon everyone. I hope this day finds everyone well and sleazy.

What does someone do to get banned on this site? being toxic is one or spamming posts?
My real question is how did xatfx get banned?

Oh! Anybody knows what happend?
I'm really curious.

Someone has found the stash

Oh, my god. Me too! me too, @goons!

Around 20 years ago. I was part of the crew that organized first ever art film festival in my country. As an added perk apart from meeting multiple passionate people I had a pleasure to watch the entire line-up in almost empty theater. Unfortunately, after this I couldn't see conventional cinema anymore. Tried a few times but always found it lacking passion and/or soul.

I have something similar, I feel the lack of originality and passion in "conventional cinema", but I still enjoy it. You just have to "put on pause" the critic inside you and have fun.

As of now, I know political discussion will get you strikes and enough strikes will get you banned. I imagine ignoring the rules about what is allowed to be posted in the general section will also get a ban.

Ohhhh... I guess, how many strikes do I have?

True what you say about seagulls, bigger, can dive and snatch sandwiches. though can't fly as far and fast as pigeons. Though seagull flight is less effort since they glide where pigeons will need to flap their wings.

But... Do you know what seagulls eat? Anything, and I mean, really anything.

Kitty Question of the Day!!!!!! if you could be any animal what would it be?

I'd like to be a tartigrade, being able to explore the microscopic world would be like stepping into another dimension, unlike anything we have ever seen (and also comes with the perk of being nearly indestructible).

A24 is great, feels like Dark Castle back in the day, but way more experimental. I've pretty much liked all of Ari Asters movies so far. Like Robert Eggers, a lot of his movies aren't super accessible to mainstream audiences, with exceptions like The Northman.

Given that context I'm assuming its because he made two very similar threads, there might have been more yesterday than.

Wow. That's harsh... I think... maybe not?
