True, that's also why I'm so skeptical about GTA VI. Rockstar is known for its detail-oriented approach, but knowing that developers who made the previous games like RDR2 are gone now, and looking at other AAA games coming out recently, I won't be surprised if it turns out to be expensive crap made with milking in mind.

Yeah, i still had hope for AAA games until 2023 but holy shit, so many of them are on par with asset flips at this point, plain boring mechanics an forgettable stories. Right now i have more faith on AA games, more experience than indie, less slop than AAA.

The focus is just in the wrong places, it could be easily fixed if people of power with impure interests were swapped out. The ones that hate gamers while being in the gaming industry lol

I expect GTA6 to be a steaming pile. AAA gaming in general has been on a constant downward slide for the past decade, it's just really, really noticeable now, and the cause is of course greed. Everything is about trying to get more money, either by extracting more from an existing audience, or by doing something to pander to an audience they think they haven't tapped yet. Profit killed passion, which is the key for making a great game.
