Sadly, I think the latter part my generation started to coddle the kiddos too much (Gen-X, though I'm amongst the first, not the last) and now we have such a huge fucking nanny state that the truly stupid don't take themselves out young and before reproducing anymore. There used to be such things as common sense and personal responsibility. Now? Kids will try to sue their parents and scream "child abuse" for a "time out"...
