My all time favorite was the Ultima series, but that's long gone. Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate (love BG3), and dungeon crawlers in general. Somebody mentioned Divinity, but I haven't played that.

As far as strategy, mostly Civilization. That's taken years of my time, but not recently. I played others like Command & Conquer and Starcraft too. I'd like to find a good modern space trading/battle strategy game, but haven't looked around. I got a little bored with Civ.

endless space 2, endless legend(fantasy but also fun) starsector. stellaris galactic civ 2 or 3. deep sky derelicts is a nice lil deckbuilder/dungeon crawler. where equipment decides which cards a party member draws.

encased is really fun. wasteland 2 n 3. kowloon highschool chronicle is a great blend of dungeon crawler VN. Raiders forsaken earth is fun for awhile but once you figure out a winning strat that is kinda it.

warhammer 40k mechanicus and rogue trader are both games i recommend. mechanicus is turn based tactical game and rogue trader turn based crpg. battlefleet gothic armada is a space combat strategy game with some extra similar to 4x strategy in between fights. Battletech is a fun turn based tactical game where you control a mecha mercenary squad.

divinity dragon commander is a decent rts where you can control dragon during, broken up by map building troop moving and politicking between races.

i think that will do for now. also @Sarya or @Slumdum take a peek at my list before i burn it or something

I will spend some time with the good part of my family (unfortunately half my relatives doesn't talk to us anymore because they hate that i'm trans and that my little bro is gay).

I can identify with that - my family has the LGBTQ acceptance faction and the "oh hell no" faction. But that was ok because the acceptance faction was a lot more fun. BUT this year - because of the election - both of those groups got shattered, then add in the dog haters and cat haters and the venn diagrams just don't overlap at all.

To be precise - 15 feels like 8, now it says 7 tomorrow, possibly feeling below 0. Forget cold as a motherfucker, that's cold as a GRANDmotherfucker.

Eventually for me, it's just fucking cold. This is the time of year I almost refuse to go outside until April.

Not even supposed to get to 30°. Not going out today. It's true you can always put mor on, but can only take so much off when it's hot (though if you're anemic like me it has to be really fucking hot to feel hot, other than in bed for some reason.) Even if you're somewhere you can go naked THAT's only so much. You can't go in your skeleton.

I used to love Civ but I haven't played it since Civ 4. Maybe I'll finally have to get back in once Civ 7 comes out. Have you tried any paradox games? I've only watched people play them but they seem like Civ but a lot more in depth
