3 Years of Service
Hey, man! All's good here! A little busy IRL... so just passing by!
Without Chaos there would be no Order.
We are the agents that make the wheel of time always keep running!
It took me a while to reply!
A little short of time to get in here...
Next week I think it will be calmer again!
So, how are you?
I hope you're taking care of yourself!
Things here have been up and down too.
The beauty of eating @Underlord, he comes in his own Tin Can already! Just shake, pop the top, eat up!
Could not agree more. Covid actually was a good thing for me (other than the deaths of a few friends) When it first started I was a few weeks away from retiring. Come Covid and I was deemed an "essential worker" but because they were so worried about us infecting each other they put us on reduced occupancy. So I had to go in 2 times a week and only be present (with maybe 1 or 2 other people widely separated) when needed. So I got paid full wages, for maybe 8 hours of work a week in my deserted lab / office. Delayed my retirement for almost three years.
Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all, to be honest!
And indeed, COVID was fantastic for me. Especially as I didn't actually lose anyone, thankfully. I was perhaps one of the most minimally negatively affected by the whole thing... Then again, I lose my Dad a few months prior to COVID so, I like to think it balanced out, Karma-wise.
There was less noise and less people so my autistic ass liked the lockdown.
Same for my ADHD-Ass. Wasn't constantly paranoid all the time, could take things a little more in stride, work to my own schedule rather than the forced 9 to 5. Even better now, because I'm in a different job with even less pressure. So. It's all good.
And hey. Here's to Neurodivergency!
