I don't know why I'm not nearly as active in this thread as I was in the OG one, but in the OG lurker thread I was grinding out 1000-2000 LC a day. I think the old interest rate was 1%, too, but I could be wrong.

Kingdom of Heaven takes a LOT of liberties. I won't call that movie good from an historical standpoint. Anyway sooner or later, I will watch Barbarians from Netflix. It's a German production, so I'm curious to see if they went full 18 hundreds or took a more modern approach.

and Hollywood does OK with British history , probably cause same language.

Unless Hollywood wants to take credit for brits accomplishments (see at the voice Enigma coding machine earlier).

Still the best depiction of an ancient world battle ever. Gaugamela was worth enduring that movie (but I saw it dubbed, so Farrell accent did not spoil it for me).

Well, people write actual history books full of accurate information, but very few people want to read them. Is some good history with some bad history better than no history at all? Would you rather people think an American sub retrieved the enigma machine or have no idea what the enigma machine is at all?

Telling people that americans retrived the Enigma isn't bad history, it's good propaganda, so, no, I would rather people know that a Brit sub retrived the Enigma. I mean, cracking Enigma was the key to sinking the Bismark, killing Yamamoto, winning at Matapan and so on, not a minor event of WW2 that you can gloss over.
Anyway...

Well when there was 70 pages a day and a whole lot more back-readers making coins was easier, and yeah I remember the guess the AVN game Skinner made in the real OG thread.
