Oh, "that" time of the day.
I will borrow Conzi permit and double post for once.
It has some good episodes, but, as a whole, it is the usual Disney mess. Scenes that aims at dramatic turn out plainly stupid and ilarious, charachters making stupid decision all the time,
and so on.
it does not bode well for season 2 that Ray Stevenson, who portrays the best charachter of the show, passed away...
Trans Siberia Orchestra... you just made my morning.
The prequel trilogy had some glaring flaws, specifically bad dialogue, wooden acting (in part mitigated by dubbing for me) and Jar Jar Binks, but they had better action sequences, a coherent overall plot, evolution, lore consistency and the three movies did not spend half of their runtime contradicting each other.
Just look at the technology in the movies. Lucas designed a retro-futuristic style for Episode 1 and then moved said design toward that of Episode 6. What did KK's team do? Recycle all the designs from the original Trilogy. In our real world the idea of air power switched from F4 Phantom to F22 Raptor. In KK's SW they still flew the same old X-wing and TIE fighters...
Edit Of course the forum came back to life when I was writing... well saved from Mime's hammer.

Is the new series bad? I haven't seen it yet

The new movies definitely missed the mark .. but they were mostly not as bad as the prequel trilogy. But that is a very low bar![]()
