I thought it captured the wonder and exploration of Hyrule well imo, but i can see why people don't like it.

I do agree, it's fantastic in its term of exploration and wonder. I still lost many, many, many hours to it. I just didn't like the change from Dungeons really - that was my hangup at the time. Divine Beasts seemed like a wasted concept. I like my Zelda game to have quirky items, damnit! Least I can make my own in TOTK haha. But yeah, great game, just doesn't fully capture Zelda for me.

Its not about being able to run Denuvo, it's the fact companies think they can install whatever they want on your computer so they can say what you can do with your purchase.

We're buying a game. Not their extra, unneccessary software. Especially software which does get broken afterwhile, therefore not really punishing pirates, just consumers.
Also, to @Vkun's "its not That bad unleash you got a potato pc/laptop" - plenty of people do have "potato" PCs/Laptop. The general consumer does not buy the latest, greatest, technology out there. People online, with their gaming rigs, are the minority, not the majority. And anything that even knocks their performance 1%, simply to sate corporate greed, is an unwelcome addition - whether the rest of us notice it running or not.

Reminds me of a survey study based on customer data from steam i saw just like 2 or 3 years ago, a large majority of people run their game on 1080@30fps still

IDK I am waiting to see sales black friday to scope up a laptop if a good one goes on a good enough price.
If nothing is worth the price I will just wait for next gen laptops to make the old ones cheaper but that might be 4-5 months away.
Not sure a 3050 laptop is worth it to be honest since there are good 4050 and 4060 laptops that have the similar price but that is just here in my country not sure in yours.

4050 laptops are much faster even while drawing low wattage.

1700 pounds for 3050 gpu is an absolute scam. 4060 cards are like 350-400 eur, and 3050 are like 200 eur now, so idk where they get that price from. Also if u go with a NVme SSD its gonna make it a lot faster too, DDR5 ram is not even necessary especially with a 3050 lol

Even worse, if you look at the used market, a RTX 3080 laptop is 900 - 1000 USD. I bought a RTX 3070 one for 600 USD and that's only like 10% slower than a 4070 one....

With such prices, buy yourself a weekend trip over France or Germany, and buy a better PC over here. And it would still be cheaper.

Seems better, and once converted is over 500£ cheaper. Leaves room to add yourself some more RAM and bigger SSD, plus extra to save.




Numbers are still very good. But even with new version, it started decreasing in 2022.
But you're right, the main incentive is coming for developers. It really is outdated, and most AAA devs wants to get in but cant. (and need cloud)
Also, Nindendo has history to massively fail every generation after they succeeded :
NES/SNES = 110M -> 33M N64 -> 22M GameCube
Wii 100M -> WiiU 13M
Switch 146M -> Next ?
Handheld consoles are different ... and I guess that's also part of the success of Switch, and why they will continue on this path.
