This issue isn't with single user restrooms, which people with cognitive skills understand. It's about multi-stall restrooms where some freak could follow your daughter in and spy or molest, and no one would care to notice until it's too late - even though they may see some dude follow in after a kid, some folks won't pay attention or see anything potentially wrong because, "hey, gender neutral - that should be totally fine."

There are multi-stall gender neutral restrooms? Which idiot came up with that idea? I'm unaware coz I identify as half cat so I just relieve myself outside. But yeah, agree with you about how dangerous it is for kids of any age

In more than 90% of rape, the victim know the aggressor. It's family, "friends", teachers, priests, coach... who commit a large majority of sexual violence. The idea that rape happen by a random person in a dark alley or a bathroom is a wrong idea popularized by crime fictions, but which is disproved by the statistical reality.

Best way to fight sexual violence is sex education. Bigots prevent this to happen. They always pretend to defend the children but in reality they are accomplices of the abusers, if not abusers themselves.

There are places where they've tried to do it, yes. That's where it has been protested. No one protests family restrooms or single occupant restrooms that anyone can use. It's only an issue where you have multiple user rooms. Not saying single-gender restrooms can prevent all freaks and molesters, but why make it easier by making it an "anything goes" restroom? Real life isn't Ally McBeal. Although a remote control flusher to assure a fresh bowl would be nice.

I don't know if you've heard of What Is A Woman 2022. The documentary about transgender rights that the asshole Elon Musk promoted. It's funny as hell for the first half but gets really transphobic by the end. Sarya probably won't like it but it brought up the issue of trans females being able to use the female restrooms and vise versa, which becomes a problem when you start to get guys pretending to be trans just to prey on females. That's a whole other issue on top of gender neutral restrooms. People just have to be extra vigilant with their kids in these changing times. And I hope this doesn't give Conzi any ideas

You point the real problem here: that's cis men and how they treat women. More than 98% of people who commit sexual violence are cis men, almost all the other 2% are cis women, trans folks are less than 1%. Only gender which is largely over-represent in sexual violence is cis men, that's the elephant in the room that almost nobody talk about.

Men got a free pass anyway. A large majority of rapists are never arrest, those who are often got too lax punishment. They don't need to pretend to be trans woman. In fact, if they try they will be treat a lot worse, probably got a larger conviction, so it makes no sense.

We have a case those days that is all over the press here in France. A man got arrest because he was filming under skirts in a supermarket. Cops then found videos on his computer that proved he drugs his wife regularly and allowed a total of around 90 stranger to rape her when she was out cold. He also drugged his daughter, take nude pics and probably rape her too. He's also accused of some other rape and a murder. That's a massive trial with like 50 accused and it became a symbol of the rape culture, the sexual violence and the impunity. When this kind of thing happens, it’s almost always guys who are culprits.
