Wow. I don't give a crap if people say this or that about themselves or anything, but this feels very unnaturally shoed in by some PR department to make absolutely sure they check off the appease to X crowd box. Holy hell.

Why not consistently just use they for whoever they are talking about, or something similarly natural?

It gets even worse there are reports that you no longer can be evil in the game I loved the first game just for the fact you could kill Connor a kid who is possessed by a demon if you wanted to

Today, Twitter is just a place where a bunch of crazy far right trolls share nonsense about their favorite conspiracy theories, all people with a bit of sense leave this place a while ago. There was literally nonbinary/gender neutral characters in previous games. Inquisition had a prominent side character who was trans. Krem? Literally a trans dude. The qunari lore also talks about trans identities (Akun-Athlok). People bringing this stuff up are showing their ass for not knowing anything about even the most recent installment of the series. They're just assholes looking to use a game they never cared about before to spread their hatred of people they know nothing about. There are real criticisms to be made about the AAA industry, and someone saying "they" in a game sure as fuck isn't it.

Oh, that's a shame. What's the morale system for then? If there even is one.
I haven't really looked into the series after loving the first one, and trying the second one.

I mean, I can point out how the same people were saying the same things when female protagonists were being put into games. Or how trans people had cis people shoved in their faces for the past 40 years of gaming. It's still not a real criticism of the game, it's just intolerant whinging.

Here's a real criticism: the AAA industry is trying so hard to appeal to every possible demographic that they water down what the game ultimately will be and put more focus on demographic stereotypes, ultimately resulting in an end product that is devoid of the things that appealed to audiences in the past, while failing to appeal to the demographics they were hoping to get because people aren't a bundle of stereotypes.
