I mean, just because you can buy it doesn't mean it's good for you. I don't remember the specifics, but I think it was along the lines of caffeine cancels out the feeling of being drunk and keeps you from realizing just how drunk you are, or something like that. Random question for the crowd:

What are folks' opinions on coffee beers? Personally I'm typically a fan. Lots of dark stouts or porters benefit from some beans in the brew, adding a lovely bitter roasty thing. But a few local brewers also do lighter beers. There's a coffee kolsch a bar near me has that is... weird, but tasty?

Though I've also had coffee beers that were not great, fully admit that too.

They're not really in my wheelhouse, I'm more ir a sour beer drinker, but ive tasted a few that I enjoyed. My wife on the other hand loves a good coffee stout. It makes for a harmonious marriage, we don't steal each other's drinks.
