You know what JAV genre I like? I like the ones where people are just doing normal shit but there's people fucking them in black clothes like it's an Japanese shadow puppet theater performance. They're doing like bunraku pornography. I saw a great one once that was like a super poorly acted episode of Law and Order, with an old man being murdered and the maid is suspected and the lady detectives are on the case, but they're just being bent over and fucked by guys in black masks like you're not supposed to see them. It's on Xvideos subbed. SDDE-545 is the code.
That sounds absolutely hilarious, I know I've seen a couple like that, and it's just damned funny.

Look at the adorable face, I believe you.
Better to buy a complete fake than a deactivated - it's cheaper for one, and it doesn't destroy history for another. All my historic firearms are functional. But, I grew up hunting and shooting in general. Nothing "crazy" about it - just something some folks enjoy and that some folks don't. Different calibers and types are better for different game; other things are better for home defense; the rest are just appreciation and seeing how they perform on the range. I even have lefty friends that own and shoot - don't have to be on one side of the political spectrum or the other, typically, though those that seek to ban them tend toward one end.
That's true, I have bought a movie replica Garand. I've been considering other historical guns as movie replicas as well, and partially it's because of the cost factor. As for the rest I don't have a problem at all with people who hunt, or even shoot for fun. But to own guns just to own guns is not something I'm into.

Random question for the crowd:

What are folks' opinions on coffee beers? Personally I'm typically a fan. Lots of dark stouts or porters benefit from some beans in the brew, adding a lovely bitter roasty thing. But a few local brewers also do lighter beers. There's a coffee kolsch a bar near me has that is... weird, but tasty?

Though I've also had coffee beers that were not great, fully admit that too.
I like porters, stouts, bocks, almost anything Belgian made by monks, and most other darker brews. Can't recall having any recently that used coffee in them, but some that have had a coffee note to them. I can see the potential appeal, but I'd need to try the individual brew to judge whether I though it was a successful pairing or not. Just don't hand me an IPA and tell me it's the greatest thing I'll every try - had a few good ones before the craze got out of hand, but too many now seem like they've been strained through manky gym socks and jock straps. If I want extra high ABV, I'll get a malt liquor or just liquor.

Xuxa was a children's TV presenter in the 1990s in Brazil, from the video
I know she's not a presenter anymore, but I couldn't help but think she's not with us anymore after reading that. Hahaha

There are a few live Garden in Brazil, Guarulhos has one, I think
I truly had no idea...

I don't like coffee, I don't like beer, and I didn't fucking know coffee beer was a thing... :ROFLMAO:

But to own guns just to own guns is not something I'm into.
Don't know how many firearm owners you know, but that really isn't a thing so far as I know. Everyone I do know that owns multiple firearms acquire them with the intent to use them - range, hunting, etc. The exceptions are where someone acquires something of historic interest (belonged to someone famous or infamous, for example) and those are typically for historic preservation and as investments. They'll usually be functional, but also usually won't be taken out to fire due to their historic nature and value.

Never did "pull the trigger" on a Garand, but wouldn't mind having one. It's an interesting weapon historically, and, personally, the uncle I was named after used one in WW2 Europe. He never came back.

I could probably get you a real one. @Tosser could probably get you a different one...

I actually LIKE IPAs, but god damn am I bored with them. Used to be I'd go to the local TotalWine and the beer section would have a fairly broad selection. Lots of ales, lots of stouts and porters, a bunch of wheat beers, etc etc etc.

These days it's like 80% various IPAs with the everything else fighting for shelf space in the tiny bit of room left over.

Still, at least the Sour Beer craze has died down. At least I enjoy some IPAs, sour beers just taste like watered down yogurt to me, bleh...

Sadly I used to know people like that, and I made sure to distance myself from those people. Most of the people I know that have guns are responsible owners, and they are cool as hell. I just have no reason anymore to own real weapons myself, so I don't.

My biggest stance on guns is if you own a gun it should be required to take a safety course on proper gun ownership and care.

Like I said, I've liked a few, but too many after the initial wave had an astringent taste that just didn't do it for me. Then there was the "red IPA" craze I heard about - for some reason, no one figured out that there were already red ales, and that the "P" stood for "pale". Probably too much bud while they were fondling their hops. 🤷‍♂️

Well I can't stand coffee or beer, so I guess it's a no for me personally. Combining my two least favorite drinks (coffee and alcohol) doesn't sound fun to me. Also, isn't it supposed to be bad to combine alcohol and caffeine together?

My dad was a farm boy, then a soldier, then a cop. I learned gun safety at a very early age from an expert marksman, so I do okay. ;)

I don't think it's related, but I knew a guy that was cleaning up an old gun (those gunpowder ones, I think) that was his grandpa's and a fragment was launched from the gun barrel or something. He was really unlucky that the fragment went right through one of his eyes, I think the only place it would cause harm. He died. :(

THIS!

I have the same stance. If you don't know how to use to gun safely and how to handle it safely, you shouldn't have a gun. You shouod be required to take a course and possibly even retake a course after so many years to refresh your knowledge and learn anything new.

I have a similar stance on driving actually. If your too dumb or not bothered to use a blinker, or you pull out in front of people and drive as slow as you can, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Honestly, a lot of things would probably improve if people were required to learn something properly and held to keep up with it, but that's a whole discussion.

Hmm....

Well, one of my favorite drinks in grad school was mixing vodka with this hyper-concentrated coffee called "Black Blood of the Earth".

And I'm.... mostly fine. Give or take.

honestly if either side was willing to work in good faith with fact based ideas rather than emotionally based propaganda there would be no significant issues. unfortunately bad faith actors are driving the divide for political brownie points over getting anything done.
realistically what we have is a major culture issue with violence being pushed as the only "manly" response to disputes. the "other" side is wrong and evil and only lies so no trying to talk things out, the government cant be trusted, the police are either absent/incompetent or out to get you. so since you are on your own all thats left is to force the "others" to your way of thinking.

but hey lets all waste all our time and resources arguing over 1 specific tool used in the violence im sure that will fix everything . . . .
