I don't think Outback is that expensive (mind you I'm also poor, especially right now. )
The iced tea is refil, which we drink like 3L+, the couvert bread is free (and if you ask nicely they even bring more!), and mondays to thurdays you can also get a free portion with a voucher (which you can get infinitelt). So we always leave there very full, without paying thaaat much.

When going in groups, a 2L bottle goes way too fast for it to be an issue. Hahaha

For me, as a kid, it was Olive Garden. We'd only get to go a couple times a year, and it was just... wow, ceramic plates, metal utensils, hot food, it was great.

Went back for the first time in years last week, and it was really disappointing. The food wasn't awful, but not as good as my memories. The service was bad, the table layout was really awkward (gotta fit in every seat possible), there was this weird tablet thing on the table playing ads at us, it was all just... bleh. Plus 10$ a glass for lousy wine, what the fuck....
