As I sit here desperately trying to stay awake, I'm curious...

How does everyone take their coffee? (or other caffeinated beverage of your choice)

Personally, at home, it's with a little cream and sugar. Because it has fat, protein, and carbs I can TECHNICALLY call it a meal!

(if I'm at a nice coffee shop, it's usually just straight up, though I have a weakness for Vietnamese style iced coffees in the summer)

A good coffee can be drunk black, if it's bad then I have to add sugar and cream.

As I sit here desperately trying to stay awake, I'm curious...

How does everyone take their coffee? (or other caffeinated beverage of your choice)

Personally, at home, it's with a little cream and sugar. Because it has fat, protein, and carbs I can TECHNICALLY call it a meal!

(if I'm at a nice coffee shop, it's usually just straight up, though I have a weakness for Vietnamese style iced coffees in the summer)

Usually dark roast and black, though sometimes my Romanesque genes fight for dominance and I want a "light and sweet": dark roast, a couple teaspoons of sugar, and enough milk or cream to turn it blonde.

And right now I'm kind of craving a Vietnamese ice coffee....

As for other "ethnic" coffee drinks, during a couple of weeks working in Miami a couple decades ago, I got hooked on Cuban coffee - can't remember exactly how it's made, but it was a seriously dark/strong espresso kind of thing with evaporated milk, like a Vietnamese, but served hot as a shot.
