Doesn't Windows + Shift + S (snipping tool) work on Windows 11? I'm using Windows 10 and here it let's you save it right away, unless I'm not understanding what you mean.

This, just set a cutoff date and delete them. For me if it's over 6 months it's too late to respond. Delete it!
