They would sell even more if people had more reasons to buy their video games, like, you know, video games to play.

true but look at genshin impact, they had a good idea, fresh idea. now days that game hardly gets updates, it's shitty and I should know as a player. they still made billions of dollars (wet dream of every company) but they refuse to update the game correctly. it's the same "open area with nothing worth to loot". if the characters weren't cute and combat fun that game would be dead after 2 weeks.

this is where I ask for a single player version offline with no payments of genshin impact. but I will never get one without fucking the boss at that company.

most companies will never reach a game like this, they don't have what it takes. so they keep making shitty games hoping to hit the jackpot. most of them don't want good single player games that sells lots of copies because it's not enough.

I only ever saw it at $60 no discount for early access so I said no
72d2 came out for PS4 and XB1 a few years ago as early access, and it fully released a month or so ago.
It's a fun game, but like any survival game you get to a point where you can do whatever you want without consequence.

It's understandable, especially when they just keep the game in perpetual Early Access. Wondering if it'll ever be finished.

Yeah, I edited that post afterward and realized the mistake. I remember people complaining about it a bit recently, which made me think of it. I think I do have some games on Steam still wishlisted, that are like 5-6+ years added, and still be announced. Still, I buy shit all the time, that I've never touched.

Once companies are getting milk out of that sweet live service teat they couldn't care less about making some single player game that maybe makes as much at launch as their service game makes every year. I'm just waiting for companies to start offering gacha purchases on credit with interest.

That is every gacha game, release shit until you have a stable playerbase, then bleed them dry. Every mobile game does the exact same plan, release stuff until you get used to it, then just make minor tweaks and release character skins so you feel like you have a shiny new toy.

I didn't understand the relation with what I was talking before, with the not needed systems and their lack of games.
But Genshin Impact is that way by design. They don't make much changes as to minimize costs, and the game make its revenue by selling currency to get characters and weapons.
Every gacha is that way, they don't need to be good, they just need to have cool characters.
I also hate GaaS and would definitely prefer to pay a hefty price and have it all than to keep purchasing small things, but it is what it is.

jokes aside the player feels biased to roll 1's whereas the ai seemed to roll close to same amount opf crits. I was however bad at rememberering to buff attack and debuff theirs.

The problem is that there's a lot of games that seems to never go out of early access, probably to keep the game in a messy state not receiving complaints, because "the game isn't final yet".

I don't understand why people think it's so hard to earn LC. The over 7g it shows I have, I earned in 4 days. So what at that rate a week and a half to two weeks and i'd have 20g.

Gacha are a huge ass money sink if you whale, also. It's part gambling addiction and part FOMO. I knew a guy that would spend hundreds of dollars every week on a FF Gacha on banners because the rates were so fucking bad. I think he still plays it and it's either shutting down or about to? So, that's like a double whammy of wasted money, because it's gone completely. It's the reason I avoid them, because I know I'd probably do the same, I played one for a few months and saw the signs and bailed the fuck out.

assuming I'm a millioner and talk to some dick from the company. telling him I would buy their game for personal use for 500k dollars but I get the game and every future asset fully unlocked. I would still want to farm characters and currency but I will have no limits anymore. so i could just sit there every day for 12 hours and farm resin.

pretty sure that person will ask me "why not just get everything for free", welp where's the fun in that.

on the other hand fuck the company, I either create my own game with a team of pros I paid for. or I pay those 500k to a pro hacker to steal their assets and then create a fake server for the game to run on (not sure how it works actually) so I could change the game files in order to remove any limits the game sets.

Hence why I refuse to play gacha games. They create a simple gameplay loop and from there on they just make numbers go higher requiring you to grind and pull on the current character pool to get the latest SSSR, or to marginally upgrade your weapon/hero so you can stay competitive on PvP or to be able to farm efficiently. It's literally a skinner box and a pavlov's dog bundled together.

Okay, but making LC is orders of magnitude easier than trying to stay afloat in a capitalist society. Yes, if you just put in 100LC and wait then it takes about 300 days.
HOWEVER: You don't pay taxes, rent, bills, food or utilities with LC. Whatever LC you earn, you can put in savings (after collecting your interest, of course).
That means it does grow exponentially. Slow, yes, but make one or two posts a day, put whatever LC you make from that and the likes it receives an it is certainly not unobtainable. And certainly in less than 6 months.
