Yeah basically. Some countries take it more seriously than others. Most of the time the "download" is not the problem but the "upload". And sadly the way torrents are designed, you doing always both. First you download the stuff. And then you automatically share it with others. And thats how they get you. They start the download on their site, and see all the IPs/users which are uploading this at the moment. Thats the reason you should hide your IP with a VPN, basically.

Here it's only a crime if you charge for it, so we can torrent all we want. Hahaha
Maybe if you're the one first uploading it someone could try to sue you, but I don't think even then something would happen.

I use Brave Browser. It's a Chromium based webbrowser by the creator of Mozilla, which have some privacy and other stuff natively, like blocking ads and trackers.

I might have rated one game over there because I felt like it was getting unfair hate. Other than that nothing I am a lurker by nature. I've posted more on here on this site by itself, than if you combined everything from all other sites I've been on since I hopped on the interwebs.
