How is my favorite raccoon today? :p
I get to use this again, dang I'm on a roll lately

Ahh I see you just summoned it. So that must mean it was made at one of the mod orgies staff meetings then. That actually makes more sense when you think about it
Yupp, makes total sense, don't mind me, I'm taking some notes... :p

I've noticed some people like above when they reply the gif turns into a png, that's strange.

I was gonna mention the Disgaea games, but then I saw, you posted that you already had them on you wishlist! :p
They do have a loooong endgame.
But it's mostly gonna be lvling, resetting, lvling, resetting. To get better stats :p
Goodbye comrade!
Hope you served your owner well!
*You find another note hanging on the post*
Dear @Guz89, @Shawnchapp, @BeowulfKnight and @mime.

Oh no no, they are fun games, at least in my opinion, you just have to know, what kinda endgame you sign youself up for. :p

Number go big makes brain happy

I just wish more jrps had some longer end game content. It's mainly because I like to farm for the ultimate weapons like in Final Fantasy, but then you only get to use them for one fight.
I think the mentality has changed because there are so many games now that people don't play one singleplayer game for months like they used to. So nobody is going to complete the game once, then play it again and wander around the overworld before entering the final dungeon and stumble across more endgame side content, they finish it once and then they move on to something else. Plus a lot of people have some game as a service to play even if there aren't any new games that they'll prefer over replaying a single player game.

It seems most developers now are leaning towards shorter games these days. Just painful when there's a game you really love but it runs out of content

I don't mind shorter games, when I was younger I wanted games to go on and on, but now I just don't have the time.

One of the benefits of being older is from childhood I was used to playing a single game for months, now when I purchase a game, I look to see if it's something I will play for months. I have a philosophy that I want at least $1 per hour invested in a game. So that shiny new star wars game better give me 60 hours of entertainment...as I know it won't, it can wait for a sale to a point that I will get my moneys worth. For example Icarus I bought on sale earlier this year, then I bought all the expansions because at a $100 price point, but I've put over 300 hours in it, the entertainment value has been worth it.

If I was to buy the new Call of Duty, if there even is a campaign anymore, it would be over in max 20 hours normally, and I don't play anything besides coop now, that I "lose" money.

Problem is shorter games for higher price.
Yeah, I refuse to buy games for $70. I'll just wait for a sale or a 3rd party site that has it cheaper on launch

You guys do know that there are sites like this one but for normie games right?
So you don't have to pay any monies

Honestly one of the biggest problems is they are trying to wow you with graphics instead of content. The original call of duty in 2003 had three separate campaigns with a good story for each. Now you get a half assed campaign that tries to funnel you to multiplayer where they will try to bleed you dry with microtransactions THAT AREN'T MICRO AT ALL NOW.
