I dunno the Burt Reynolds version was brutal for it's time. Sandlers version was not as satisfying. Now if you'd countered with waterboy or necessary roughness, I would at least argue the point.

They started going international trying to entice new viewers because not enough people are watching in the states anymore. Not saying they are playing in brazil but just saying games are occuring outside of the U.S. now

I'd go varsity blues there, good mix of action, drama, and comedy. My wife adores Rudy so much though. We can just basically agree there are so many great sports movies. I just can't do straight drama, I need comedy breaks.

Oh, I got it!
I didn't know that, and didn't heard anyone talking about it.
I honestly never knew anyone here who liked watching/playing it.
Basketball and Baseball, for example, is not popular here, but I know people who likes it.
Rugby I know people who plays it as a hobby, but Football never saw it. Hahaha
Also, I searched for it and apparently our consumer protection authority fined NFL for abusive practices.
