Oh. I've never met people with that severe conditions. I know a few autistic people, but I think it's ones of the "simpler" ones (Don't know what word to use. Hahaha).
I wouldn't doubt that my ex-sister-in-law was Borderline, though. She wasn't diagnosed, but had really big mood swings and was very aggressive sometimes...

I have a close personal friend who is a psychopath, but he is not criminally dangerous and not a bad person. I've known him for almost 30 years, so yes, I've had plenty of time to make this assessment. I also know a textbook narcissist who has left a trail of destruction in his wake. Merely having one of these disorders does not inherently make someone bad, it just makes it more likely.

Some psychopaths can function quite well. To a good degree it depends on upbringing. If it's abusive their path is set.
You can do brain scanning and see the parts processing empathy are underactive. Remember I saw a documentary where a guy who was a researcher on psychopathy did a scan on himself on a whim and found he had the matching brain pattern. This came as a surprise to him, but when he told his wife and closest he was told they weren't surprised at all.
He wasn't destructive or anything like that, but he definitely had quirks.

These often need high stimulus to feel something, so they would be drawn to activities like special forces, fighter pilot, bomb disposal, race driving and the like. There's a Norwegian resistance hero you just know was a psychopath when you read the stories. The guy was calm as a cucumber talking to a German patrol while he was driving a truck full of guns. You just know he pretty much had a resting pulse. Post war he lived a normal life.
