Here he has a point, at the end movies like West Side Story are a modernization of Romeo and Juliet, and probably every few years we have a new Romeo and Juliet. But we are talking of movies 1 or 2 years old that are being remade.

TLDR = Some people WANT remakes with THEIR actors. That's it. No more. No less.

Same happens in my country, many people are afraid to leave the comfort zone and watch a movie from another culture. In my country that means mostly a national movie or an American one.

But there's not enough people like that for the movie to make money.

That's the real point. Why to make the effort to remade something that's mostly non commercial profitable. How so the industry has not yet realized it.

In the same way there is people who will not watch a foreign movie, the question mostly is if there is enough niche to play a foreign movie. It's so much cheaper to dub or even just sub a movie, than make a whole remake. In my country, we have a large number of indie theaters were only foreign movies in their original language and/or alternative cinema is played. Of course you will not find such theaters in the countryside, but they should be present in large cosmopolitan cities. Prestigious cinema festivals like Cannes or the Berlin one should create enough expectation to that cinephile niche. A city like NYC, doesn't have these kind of theaters? Doesn't happen that movies with huge success like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", despite to be foreigner, to be in all the theaters? Or are they so rare exceptions that we don't need to count them?

I never knew about the numerical ID for hashes. I usually just use 2 tags like the character and then either some genre or kink. For the rest i use the sorting functions. Sometimes i sort by popular, or increase the rating threshold to only show images with a minimal rating of 4-5 stars.

Yeah, when i looked her up, a lot of people made her feet pretty dirty, which makes sense given how she is always running around barefooted, but yeah that one didn't look as bad and was overall a really well done artwork.

If we apply realism tho, her feet must not only be dirty as hell, but also feel like sandpaper. Maybe some ppl are even into that

looked up sandpaper on tenor and this gif was the second result. Idk how to feel about it . I haven't seen spongebob in ages

If you look you can find almost anything in NYC. There are tons of theaters that do arthouse or non-mainstream films. There might be some that mostly do foreign films in minority-inhabited areas like Chinatown, though I'd expect it to mostly be East Asian or whatever the minority culture is rather than foreign films generally.
