There have been a few attempts at "all you can eat" restaurants in my town. I went once with some friends to one of them an ate 8 pizzas for 9€ aprox. And that's what I ate, A friend ate a whole tray of shrimp(23€/kg) and small lobsters(15€/kg) and the others did not fall behind. I guess the idea was to make a profit from the drinks(under 15c/unit provider to 2€/unit customer). It did not go well
The one that lasted the longest as such closed after 4 months, the rest reinvented themselves as "all you can eat" one day a week from 8AM-11AM and normal restaurant/buffet the rest of the time or similar patterns.
The closest one I know of is 1 hour in car away if you take the highway, 3 hours through the old road, which in Europe's distance is VERY FAR AWAY.

All the "All-You-Can-Eat" restaurants I've been to have a pretty hefty upfront price. Like there's all you can eat steak for $50-60, or Korean BBQ for $70. Since it's all meat most people can't actually eat enough to eat more than the wholesale cost of the food. Or alternatively it's something like Sizzler where the buffet food is all cheap food.

It's been years since I went, so not sure if they still do it. But when this casino in my area first open on Thursday nights they had a all you can eat. They had people walking around with skewers of meat. This one person had one filled with huge scallops. I had them empty half the skewer onto my plate. I ate so much the first time I went there. I felt like such a fatty

Yeah there has been plenty of buffet type restaurants that pop up in my area and yeah not a lot of them last long. There is this one tho that's been around for 5-6 years. They have all sorts of random stuff to. Even someone who makes all sorts of sushi

I'm not a huge fan of the new it. Was it good yeah. That dancing scene in the first film irritated me. But I grew with the miniseries and Tim Curry as It. In the case of that it made scene. He was always attacking children and he looked like a normal circus clown to draw them in.
