Seriously... how do lawyers and such wear a full suit to work in 100degree heat?
I would heat stroke in 10 minutes. There is no way I could walk from my car to the courthouse and still look presentable. How do some people have such good temperature control? Is it like a superpower?

I found out how this works on a business trip to Kuala Lumpur. I was a little late so I walked somewhat briskly to the hotel where the event was. I didn't stop sweating until two hours later, even inside in a very AC'd room.

I had previously noticed and wondered why everyone out and about walked soooo sloooow. The Penny dropped then.

Yeah I prefer fall, especially because I live in a hot climate and also I like to dress nicely and during summer you can't really wear anything nice or you'll be miserable its just shorts and short sleeved shirts everyday and it gets really boring.

I feel you, I can't even dress a sleeved shirt inside home because of this hellish hot. I don't know why, every time I'm close of one of my windows I get funny faces of the passers-by.

Wifey and I sold our house, cars and whatever didn't fit in a 20' container, sent the kids to the orphanage and went over.

Shoulda just went to buy cigarretes. You missed on a pretty cool possible revenge storyline in 10-20 years.
Might need to do it all over again to unlock it.

In all honesty it depends. A lot of climates will let you get away with it, its also shocking what a choice of fabric can do, a typical midweight wool suit is going to be miserably hot but there are lightweights made for summer that will help a lot. Even so there is only so much you can do and in many places you're just out of luck. I think if I lived somewhere hot and dry though I could make it work with appropriate fabric choices.

I am merely imagining the two layer covering of a shirt and jacket and am freaking out in just the thought. But I guess I'm just the bad end of the spectrum when it comes to heat tolerance. And I can definetly see humidity having a huge impact on things fun extremely dull fact: the reason this matters is humidity affect your skin surface wetness evaporation rates. when it's humid, your sweat can't evaporate as efficiently and the process can't cool your skin down. When it's dry, it may be hot, but convection rate is higher so a light breeze can help.

This incidentally is why swamp coolers work in dry climates but NOT in wet climates.

Don't wear the jacket, bring an extra shirt and change in the bathroom once you get where you're going. In my case I left a few suits in the office and switched them out every few days. In my case the 80+ degree weather was only for a few weeks though.

You're fortunate to have a space, my office does "hoteling" since people work from home, so no one except the most senior partners get to have offices, everyone else fights for deskspace
