Yeah I prefer fall, especially because I live in a hot climate and also I like to dress nicely and during summer you can't really wear anything nice or you'll be miserable its just shorts and short sleeved shirts everyday and it gets really boring.

Yeah I prefer fall, especially because I live in a hot climate and also I like to dress nicely and during summer you can't really wear anything nice or you'll be miserable its just shorts and short sleeved shirts everyday and it gets really boring.

I used to wear a suit to work every day and lived close enough to walk so I got used to walking in like 90 degree weather with long sleeves and slacks. Much happier now that I don't have to do that though.

I emigrated from a cold country to South Texas when I got headhunted for a job.

Wifey and I sold our house, cars and whatever didn't fit in a 20' container, sent the kids to the orphanage and went over.
Fifty years of freezing our asses off was enough, thank you very much.
We consider ourselves climate refugees.

Yeah I cannot do that here, its so insanely humid I'd get to the office and my shirt would be absolutely soaked through. Part of it is that I just sweat a good bit, but also the humidity is wild. I was on a business trip to Arizona not too long ago and I was walking around in 100 degree heat in my suit but it wasn't nearly as bad.

Still looking forward to fall, get to layer more and wear colors that suit me better, can't wait.

Seriously... how do lawyers and such wear a full suit to work in 100degree heat?
I would heat stroke in 10 minutes. There is no way I could walk from my car to the courthouse and still look presentable. How do some people have such good temperature control? Is it like a superpower?

In all honesty it depends. A lot of climates will let you get away with it, its also shocking what a choice of fabric can do, a typical midweight wool suit is going to be miserably hot but there are lightweights made for summer that will help a lot. Even so there is only so much you can do and in many places you're just out of luck. I think if I lived somewhere hot and dry though I could make it work with appropriate fabric choices.

Here though, in 90+ degree heat with insanely high humidity, no amount of anything is making it work.
