I grew up hunting (not quite the same), but we raised rabbits and chickens (which I cared for) and had friends and family that ran cattle. I was 10 years old the first time I helped break down a half calf (no, not your fucking coffee order). Fed us for most of the year.
You appreciate it more when you do more than just buy it.

All this previous talk about villains winnin made me think on Megamind. One of the best western animated children movies I've seen.

I find that giving him the occasional "time out" is helpful. Just put him on "ignore" for a few days every couple off weeks and your mental health regenerates pretty well.
Then you unignore and your mental health degenerates soon after.
