If the overwhelming majority of people are never able to post an image (example, a screenshot of a VN error, a meme, etc.) that will make this place a desert in no time. People will get the M+ to access all the different VNs posted, and that will be it. No interaction, no fun, no nothing.

Then there were just groups of people who just decided to like every post in the threads. Those old threads got nuked. You're supposed to react to posts organically.

There's a game that was called City of Heroes.

It got in trouble with Marvel because a bunch of their characters were showing up on this generic superhero game site. They sued.
It took a while, but it came out in court that a chunk (I forget the percentage) of the Marvel characters... had been created by Marvel employees!
They couldn't prove malice from Marvel in court, but it was enough for CoH to keep going.

Of course, I personally thought that Marvel created something in CoH themselves, then got CoH in trouble for it.

Makes me wonder how many of these "bad actors" on this LC site are legit stupid, legit malicious, or work for the very people that want us gone.
