So something that really hasn’t been talked about on here but what’s everyone thoughts on the Acolyte?

Not something I'm planning to watch, but it seems to turn all canon on its head, and the person producing it seems to be gleeful about it and doesn't care who she pisses off in the process. Her attitude towards the underlying mythology is enough to keep me from watching it even to mock it.

I just added Tower of God to my watch list. How is it?

Depending on your preferences good to very good.
As far as I know, the anime only covers the first part, though, and never finishes.

The web manga is 3 or 4 times further along, though I haven't checked back in the last hundred chapters.

I don't watch most adaptations or universe adaptions of things, honestly.
Not Acolyte, not Witcher, not even the first two seasons.

When you know the source material, and what the stories were about, there's just waaay too much of a difference and too little of the original intention.
It's this kind of modern recycling of brands purely to dip into the existing audience pool with no understanding of what the original's strengths are.
And if you don't maintain what the original was about, what's the point in using it as material instead of inventing your own fresh new ideas.

Those distorted, mcDonald ideas of recycled tropes?

It's not bad, not bad at all.

But are you sure you can compete with the original masterwork, at the hand of an artisan, that, in just 5 colors, completely captured the boundless charm of Slumdum?
